A routine is an ordered list of steps that tells your customer how to use their products. Each step pairs one product with your own instructions — for example, "Cleanse — massage onto damp skin for 30 seconds."
Create a routine
- Go to Routines and create a new routine (or click Create your first routine on the home page).
- Enter a Routine Name your customers will recognize, e.g. "Glow Morning Ritual".
- Choose a Routine Type — AM for a morning routine or PM for a night routine.
Add steps
Every routine needs at least one step. For each step:
- Click Add step.
- Give it a Step name, e.g. "Cleanse".
- Click Select product and choose the matching product from your store. LayerWise reads your live Shopify catalog — there's nothing to import. The product's title and image are saved with the step.
- Write the Instructions for that step.
Steps are numbered in the order you add them — that's the order your customer will follow. Use the delete icon on a step to remove it.
Save as draft or publish
Set the status before saving:
- Draft — saved but hidden from customers. Use this while you're still editing.
- Active — live. Active routines are matched to new orders and shown to customers.
Click Save. You can reopen any routine to edit it, use Preview to see how it looks to a customer, or Delete it.
Only active routines reach customers. The home page flags any drafts still waiting to be published.
