LayerWise turns your catalog into clear, step-by-step AM and PM routines that reach customers automatically after checkout — so they know exactly how to use what they bought. This guide installs the app and explains how the pieces fit together.
Install the app
- Open the LayerWise listing in the Shopify App Store and click Add app.
- Review the permissions LayerWise requests and approve the installation.
- LayerWise opens inside your Shopify admin. It runs embedded in the admin — there's nothing to download.
You don't import or sync any products. LayerWise reads your live Shopify catalog when you build a routine.
How LayerWise works
There's one building block — a routine — and three places it can appear for your customer:
- Post-purchase email — a matching routine emailed right after checkout.
- Thank-you page — the best-matched routine shown on the order confirmation page.
- Storefront routines page — a routines block you add to your theme.
You build routines once, and LayerWise matches them to each order by the products the customer bought.
Find your way around
The top navigation has three sections:
- Routines — create and manage your AM/PM routines.
- Widgets — turn on and customize where routines appear (email, thank-you page, storefront).
- Settings — choose how LayerWise behaves when more than one routine matches a product.
The home page shows how many routines are active vs. draft, and reminds you that only active routines reach customers.
Set up in three steps
- Build your first routine — add steps, each tied to a product, with instructions.
- Show routines to your customers — enable the email and add the storefront and thank-you widgets.
- Customize your post-purchase email — match the email to your brand.
